ABOUT ARTSPA

Since 2006 a group of artists from Nova Scotia, Canada come together regularly to share a love of art making. The group was founded to give artists the possibility to step out of their studios and enjoy creative company once a week. Artists work on their own projects in various mediums and techniques, support each other and share information on art related topics. The members have also worked on collaborative art projects such as “Global Shoe Project” and "Mosaic for Mental Health". Our name is ARTSPA. 'Art making is better than a day at the Spa,' said Catherine McMillen, who was our eldest member and a Nova Scotia College of Art graduate. Catherine passed away Aug. 13, 2010 and we will all miss her. Over the past years the group has grown to 20 artists.
